This is an exciting time for Brookhaven Democrats. We've reached new highs in Democratic voter registration - and our numbers continue to grow in every council district. Clearly, our message of responsive government that cares about you and fights for every resident is resonating.

Our elected Brookhaven Democrats have demonstrated that they will follow through on campaign promises.

In the March 31 special election, we elected Mark Lesko to be Brookhaven's Town Supervisor. In just a few short months, Mark is cleaning up Town Hall, cracking down on illegal housing that blights our neighborhoods, and introducing a responsible, bipartisan style of governing to bring people together to solve problems. He hired a leading economic development specialist as a deputy supervisor to begin revitalizing our downtowns and increasing our tax base to reduce the burdens that you have been carrying. Mark is a reform-minded leader with strong professional and personal credentials.

As we turn to fall, Brookhaven Democrats have chosen our strongest slate of candidates ever. Our Town-wide and council candidates share a commitment to a local government free of patronage jobs - a local government that is transparent and is accountable to you. Our two judicial candidates are highly respected professionals and community leaders who are pinnacles of legal virtue.
